SEO Essex is now in position 2 in Google
This is great news for SEO Essex and clearly shows that quality SEO knowledge can make a difference to small unestablished websites. If you check the Google toolbar it states that I have zero page rank (toolbar is just a guide though) at the moment and yet I rank above many websites that have high page ranks and have been around for a long time.
It has made a difference in all aspects of my traffic, of course the SEO theme means that I get a lot of spam posts which is irritating but then I also get plenty of good ones, people are asking my advice and asking me questions, I am making people ask questions about their agency and why are they not well listed, where is their money going? It is all valid, I want business owners to demand progress from their SEO agency and listings will deliver people.
The SEO work on this website has been of the highest calibre but the site was always weak, progress has suprised me but constantly shows that smaller websites can compete in search with a sensible budget outlay.
Reaching position 2 in search for a localised SEO term is not the most astonishing feat of course but what does make this a great achievement is the the domain is new, the website was free and the hosting is a cheap shared platform.
I have always said that SEO is common sense for 80% of the journey but what makes a difference is the knowledge behind it. Many SEO agencies claim they are cutting edge but how many of them really are? For example over the last two months I have tested a number of page elements and off page factors, this testing is ongoing, some of it is consigned to the scarpheap but some very interesting results have shown through. This is what the other 20% of SEO is about, what makes a difference when you have already done you SEO as well as you can, that extra knowledge is what separates the great from the good.
I am working on a new SEO project which will enable me to put these findings into the plan and I am eager to see the live results.
