OK so today is 29/04/2010
I spent a few days building up the content for the website and I have just lifted the robots.txt disallow / command and I am looking to see how long it is before Google visits and then indexes the blog properly.
Currently it has landed in position 43 even with the robots.txt blocking Googlebot so with the content opened up it will be interesting to see what happens. I will track the search engine positions over the next week and to be honest I am suprised the site entered Google at position 43 even with the robots.txt in place!
It is already above websites that have been established for many years and chasing the SEO related search terms that this site is after, to be honest I am unsure of whether this will stay once the site is indexed, only time will tell.
I have started the link process by distributing snippets of my content which have already been successful as linkbait, even though there is minimal content here it is building up nicely but people obviously are showing an interest.
I am now counting down the days hopefully where the search listing suddenly allows the first real sales orientated enquiry, should be an interesting period especially as I have no idea of the style of enquiries that may come my way (or if there will be any) I am sure that people looking for SEO services may well be a little suspicious to start with but lets wait and see.
