After just 3 months from a brand new domain SEO Essex has retained position 6 now for two weeks which I am really pleased about, in addition to this is the number of good comments that are coming my way. On the whole getting the ranking has been pretty easy, of course there are many who will say that it is just down to SEO Essex being the domain name but I know its just not that simple.

For example I remember when after getting to page one in Google the website slipped down to page two and then the next day page 3 and then four. Only careful analysis identified the problem which was a sticky post causing issues, of course this then also meant the correct cause of action needed to be taken to rectify the problem.

When you consider that the domain name was new then of course it shows that mistakes can be very costly when there is no trust factor. SEO Essex has made steady progress, much is down to the setup of the blog and the way the linking has been carefully implemented.

It shows that patience is indeed an SEO virtue as at any point too much activity would have run the website off the rails, it has followed exactly the path I pescribed, the object was to show that a small business website can get profile in Google on a budget. This means it is entirely feasible for small business to compete with larger brands.

Careful consideration must always be applied to keyword targets, clearly this website will not be able to compete for a single term such as SEO or for a competitive terms such as search engine optimisation. But that is not the target, the idea is to pick a worthwhile keyphrase that is relevant, has a reasonable search volume and gives opportunity to make sales or leads that will convert.

This is the starting point, beyond that increasing growth rates can be sustainable as and when the competitive edge of a website reaches a level where ever more valuable key phrases can become targets. Good content and excellence in link building is the key to success and this site will grow in stature to capture more page one real estate as the weeks come and go.

The new targets are now researched and I have every confidence that SEO Essex will claim that ground.
